WWII Brown Bakelite Army Escape Button Compass

The entire button was removed from the BD Blouse and suspended from a thread, on the reverse of the button were three luminous dots, two at the North Point and one opposite for South, the button when suspended pointed to the North. These were often used by Airborne Forces, Reconnaissance Units and the RAF’s Second Tactical Air Force. Overall in excellent condition.  read more
