1940 DATED BATTLE OF BRITAIN RAF SCRAMBLE BELL

A great original example of the classic RAF Air Ministry Nickel Plated Bronze Bell. Immortalised in Pathe News film clips which shows RAF Fighter Pilots running to their Hurricane and Spitfire Fighters to do battle with the Luftwaffe to the clanging of one of these iconic bells. This example has the Crows Foot and is marked ATW to the top of the bell. AM and 1940 marked to the main body of the bell. Able to post but will have to message for quote as heavy.
This is the larger version measuring in at approximately 14 inches in height and 14.5 inches in diameter.
